Most Mysterious Places to Visit: The Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle, also called the Devil’s Triangle, is located in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean. It is a mysterious place to visit because of the many aircrafts and ships that have mysteriously disappeared without human reasons. Most people think the cause of most of these accidents are due to paranormal experiences, although, others believe it has to do with compass variations and the suspension of laws of physics. To see a list of newspaper articles describing accidents that happened within the Bermuda Triangle, click here.

Even though there are these, what we assume are, myths, the Bermuda Triangle is a beautiful place to travel to. Since it is further north than the Bahamas, it stays a little cooler than those islands. In the summer, one of the best times to travel there, the temperature reaches about 85 degrees and the water temperature can reach up to 86 degrees. There is always a cool breeze coming through Bermuda making it a comfortable place to stay. There are many hotels in Bermuda that offer great deals, especially in the off season or during hurricane season. It is almost prime to go during hurricane season because Bermuda gets hit with less hurricanes than the United States does, so its very rare and the rates drop incredibly for tourists. There are also many cruises that make the trip through the Bermuda Triangle. Even though many people believe the myths about lost ships and aircrafts in the Bermuda Triangle, the U.S. Board of Geographic Names has made it clear that there is no danger in visiting the Bermuda Triangle. Learn more about when to go to the Bermuda Triangle here.

Best Architecture Locations in the World: The Great Pyramids at Giza

Among the many lists of top places to visit, the Great Pyramids at Giza hit number one on almost every list. The pyramids were built as tombs for the pharaohs and queens of the Egyptian kingdoms and although there are many pyramids built through out Egypt, the largest and best kept pyramids were built at Giza. The “Great Pyramid” was built here for Pharaoh Khufu.

Not only are the pyramids one of the most beautiful sites in the world, but they are also the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one to remain in such great condition. It took about 20 years to construct each pyramid and the Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure for over 3,800 years. This is the type of place you need to visit during your lifetime because it plays such a part in our world’s history.

Best Architecture Locations in the World: The Acropolis

The Parthenon and the Acropolis, in Athens, Greece, are amongst the most visited places in the world. The Acropolis in Athens is one of many acropolises in the world but since it is the greatest, it has taken on the actual word The Acropolis. It was created and built by the most advanced civilization in the world at the time. It was built for the political and cultural achievements of the people of Athens. Back in the day, towns were built around acropolises so that if they were attacked, they would all flee to the top of the hill and also the most important buildings were placed on top of the acropolis. To learn more facts about the Acropolis, click here.

I, personally, have been to Athens, Greece and have visited the Acropolis and it is one of the most beautiful places you will ever see that is man-made. It’s amazing to think that it was made by people thousands of years ago when they did not have the tools we have today. You can see how much people loved this city and wanted to make something to show that.

The Parthenon goes under construction every 10-12 years and unfortunately it was during the time I was visiting, but it was still a beautiful site. To research visiting The Acropolis, click here.

Best Architecture Locations in the World: Statue of Liberty

It may be hard to believe for us, but one of the most popular architecture locations to visit in the world is the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor. The Statue of Liberty is a neoclassical, realistic sculpture and was created by Frederic Bartholdi, Gustave Eiffel, and Richard Morris Hunt. It was given to the United States by the French in 1886 and placed in the New York Harbor to be a welcome to all Americans returning, visitors, and immigrants.

The Statue of Liberty plays a very large part in tourism for the government and especially the state of New York. After 9/11, the government shut down tourist access throughout the Statue of Liberty because of safety issues but later re-opened it in 2004 with different access laws… No one was allowed to go up to the crown, which is the actual viewing deck of the whole statue and the reason why people visit it.

Since then, laws have changed again and people are allowed to  go up to the crown but no further than that. We are lucky to have this beautiful sculpture in our country and to have taken such great care of it. Get your tickets to see the Statue of Liberty now or visit Ellis Island online!
